About

FAW C-Certificate: A new approach to modern soccer coaching education

The FAW C-Certificate is delivered utilizing a variety of in-person education contacts and online workshops. It is designed to educate candidates in the technical, physical, psychological, and social requirements of modern football. It will develop candidates’ ability to plan, prepare, deliver, and reflect on coaching sessions for the development of players. The course has been designed to support the modern coach, with education consisting of online modules, distance learning, webinars (utilizing Microsoft Teams) and practical (in-person) contacts as well as the requirement to coach within your own coaching environment. During the course, coaches learn about the key requirements of supporting an individual within modern football, developing players across our four pillars (Technical, Physical, Psychological and Social) and their ability to plan, prepare and reflect on sessions. There is no formal assessment.

We are thrilled to host a FAW C-Certificate here at Carmel FC. After a fantastic course last year where 24 coaches successfully completed their FAW C-Certificate we are thrilled to host the course again in June 2024. This will allow more coaches from the club and the surrounding areas to experience the outstanding course material delivered by world class tutors. With 10 of the 24 coaches from last years cohort progressing to the UEFA B Licence the club have benefited immensely from the increased level of geocaching and knowledge the coaches have brought back from the course.
