Digitalization in coaching is very important and will be the future. coachbetter and its features support everything I need from a Technical Director’s point of view. As part of the digital strategy and to ensure topclass coaching and education, the academy was looking for a digital solution that allows management to engage with its coaches and to communicate with players to satisfy both, the development of coaches and the pathway of players to professional football.

At Lusail Football Academy, coaches from all over the world with different coaching styles are brought together to develop their players on and off the pitch. As common ground, a syllabus is created in coachbetter, which allows every coach to be on top of their responsibilities through weekly newsletters and information sharing. Further, in the syllabus, coaches can design and create training sessions according to the development plan of their players. The Player App supports and guides the development of all players
How coaches communicate with their players, or their parents, is crucial for any part of their development. Verbal communication is important but also bears the risk of a breakdown in communication and a breakdown in understanding. The PlayerApp from coachbetter overcomes that hurdle. The individual player profile, to which every player (or parents) has access via the App, enables an efficient feedback culture and communication. Players can confirm or deny presence or absence for training sessions and games, further, the following features are shared through the App:
Knowledge Pool
Offense, defense, tactics, athletics, mental strength. coachbetter provides expert knowledge and articles on topics that really matter with an easy filter structure. All content is designed by UEFA licensed and experienced coaches and is easily adaptable to the performance level of any team. It is the perfect source to educate and develop coaches and unify coaching philiosophies.
Training planning
Coaches can choose from over 250 individual training activities (ranging from technical to tactical focus areas) as well as complete session plans, which are easily adaptable to the performance levels of any team.
Drawing & Developing Training Sessions
Coachbetter offers the possibility for user generated content (UGC). Coaches are able to develop their own training activities and session plans digitally, directly in coachbetter with the online drawing tool. Like this, an individual platform based on the club's coaching philosophy is created.
Video Analysis
Through visualization, players understand much easier what they can’t see themselves. Videos can be uploaded, edited and tagged directly in the platform. Individual sequences of a game or training can be then analyzed and shared directly with the player’s individual profile in the App.
Data Analysis & Statistics
Coachbetter provides an overview of all data from players to support and guide their development. A game day or training session can be documented and edited with just a few clicks. Important data, notes, and reviews can be accessed anytime - no data is lost, even if a coach leaves the club. Performance data can be individually determined for a robust data analysis and development plan.
