The problem

Without a shared system, coaching standards vary from team to team.

Every coach plans their own way, in their own notebook, to their own idea of what good looks like. That works for one team. Across more, it means twenty different clubs.

01

Coaches work in silos

No shared methodology or session library
Every coach plans their own way
Hard-won knowledge and insight is never shared
02

You can't see the standard

No way to observe coaching quality at scale
Development is assumed, not evidenced
Problems surface a season too late
03

Onboarding starts from 0

New coaches don't inherit your philosophy
Coaches leave and take their work with them
Nothing gets handed over properly
04

Players feel the gap

A different experience every age group
Progress restarts with each new coach
Parents can't see real player development

What’s inside

All you need to deliver consistent coaching quality

Coaching & match-day delivery

Plan the week in minutes, not evenings.

Sessions, fixtures and the week ahead in one place, built from a library your coaches don't have to create themselves. A coach opens the app and everything for the week is already there.

Session planning: build from scratch or a template, set recurring weekly blocks in one go, and design any drill on any pitch format to animate and share.

Match day: set line-ups, run the game, and record minutes, goals, assists and cards per player, so performance data builds itself as you coach.

Daily coaching operations: tasks, team communication and the week ahead in one place for every coach, so nothing about the session gets lost between them.

Methodology & shared knowledge

Your way of playing, in every coach's hands.

Your methodology shouldn't be a document nobody opens. Performance OS makes it the thing every coach plans from - published, sequenced, and delivered under your own badge, with a library of 1,000+ ready-made activities behind anything you haven't built yet.

Your club curriculum: load your methodology into a private club channel, publish it to every coach, and build progressions so they work through it in order, not at random.

Knowledge Hub: 1,000+ ready-to-use training activities and articles behind anything you haven't built yet, so no coach is ever short of quality material.

Your content, your brand: Publish your own drills, sessions and videos to your coaches under your badge.

Performance & development

Know how every player is actually progressing.

Participation and performance recorded as it happens, and assessments run on a cycle rather than when someone remembers. Development becomes something you can evidence to a parent, a board or a governing body.

Player statistics: participation, minutes, goals, assists and cards recorded per player across the season, so every player's contribution is on record, not in memory.

Development & assessment: give every player a documented pathway, then review it on an assessment cycle, so development is evidenced and never just assumed.

Video tagging: upload clips, tag them by tactical sequence, and share them with your players so feedback is shown, not just told.

Squad & team management

The squad admin, handled before training starts.

Squads, availability and attendance in the same place as the session plan — so a coach knows who's coming before deciding what to run.

Squads & rosters: every squad and every player in one place, including those turning out for more than one team, without double-counting or gaps.

Availability & attendance: players and parents confirm for each session against a deadline, then you record who actually turned up — planned versus real, not a guess.

Club calendar: trainings, matches, tournaments and events for every team in one view, so nothing clashes and nobody misses what's on.

Coach development

Develop your coaches, not just your players.

Your players get pathways, stats and reviews - your coaches should too. CoachID holds every coach's qualifications and certificates in one place, runs self- and peer-assessment cycles so development is reviewed rather than assumed, and flags licences and safeguarding certificates before they expire.

Coach records: every coach in one directory: qualifications, certificates, languages and skills, filterable and stored centrally instead of scattered across inboxes and spreadsheets.

Assessment cycles: run self- and peer-assessment cycles across your coaches, so their development is structured and reviewed on a schedule, not left to chance.

Qualification tracking: automatic renewal and expiry alerts for licences and first-aid, so no coach is ever working on an out-of-date or lapsed certificate.

Better together

Performance OS runs the soccer. Club OS runs the organization.

Performance OS is the coaching side — methodology, session planning, player development, video. Club OS is the operational side — registrations, payments, memberships and club-wide communication.

They share one squad, one calendar and one set of people. Register a player in Club OS and their coach has them in the session plan. Take attendance on the pitch and the club sees it. No re-entry, no exports, no two systems that half-agree with each other.

FAQs

Frequent questions from clubs, academies and federations.

How can Coachbetter help our federation or association?

Roll out consistent coaching education across every affiliated club — one session library and resource set for grassroots and volunteer coaches, with every coach registered under a single Coach ID.

How much does Performance OS cost?

Pricing depends on the size of your club and which modules you need — Performance OS, Club OS, or both. Book a demo and we'll build a plan that fits your club.

We have a coach who wants this — can they bring it to the club?

That's how a lot of our clubs start. Book a demo and we'll walk through it with you, and help you make the case internally to whoever signs it off.

Is Performance OS only for academies?

No. It runs a single club with volunteer coaches as readily as a multi-site academy — the difference is how much of your own methodology you load on top. Clubs without full-time coaching staff often get more from the Knowledge Hub, because it does the work their coaches don't have time for.

How do you support coach qualifications and development?

Coach assessments and Individual Development Plans are built in, so self and peer review are part of the system rather than an annual scramble. Formal qualifications are available separately through Coach Education, including UEFA pathway access.

How long does it take to get coaches using it?

Most clubs are live within a week, with a dedicated CSM and a success plan from day one. Coaches can plan from the Knowledge Hub immediately because there's nothing to build first. Loading your own methodology takes longer, and we help with it.

What if our coaches aren't confident with technology?

The app is built for volunteer coaches, not analysts. A coach who can use a messaging app can plan a session, and in-app help answers the how-to questions that otherwise land on your senior staff.

Can we see what our coaches are actually delivering?

Session plans, attendance, player assessments and coach development plans are visible across the club, so you can see which teams are working to your standard rather than asking. For most technical directors this is the reason they buy it.

Can we use our own coaching methodology?

Load your own curriculum into a private club channel and publish your drills, sessions and videos to your coaches under your own badge. The Knowledge Hub sits behind it with 1,000+ ready-to-use activities and articles for anything you haven't built yet, and our team can produce content to your methodology if you want it.

What's the difference between Performance OS and Club OS?

Performance OS is the coaching side — your methodology, session planning, player development and video. Club OS is the operational side — registrations, payments, memberships and club-wide communication. Buy either on its own, or both, in which case a player registered by the club appears automatically in their coach's session plan.
